The Biologist and I returned this week from a quick jaunt to Canada. We went to Ontario to visit his new niece and family. It was a really wonderful trip … lots of hanging out, board games and fabulous food. This was the first time I have been out of the country (woo hoo – FINALLY) and I was really excited.
We spent one afternoon at St. Lawrence Market, which was amazing. They had every kind of cheese you could imagine (GAH!!), as well as various meats (ostrich thighs anyone?), fish and bread. We got lunch from one of the sandwich places there and … woah.
On Saturday we took a quick drive to Niagara Falls. It was the first time I had been there and it was incredible. The day was very cold and wet but I really enjoyed snapping pictures, hearing the roar of the water and taking it all in.
Speaking of the baby – she was lovely. She is already exhibiting high intelligence, killer fashion sense, a keen knack for Scrabble and a splendid personality. Most popular? I think so. We also got to go to Starbucks EVERY DAY that we were there. *le sigh*
The journey home wasn’t too bad and I’m just so excited to get back to work on the hell hole beach shack.
Cheers to more adventures!!!
ps – thanks Kyle, Emily, Malin and Paul for making the trip uh-mazing!
