Oh Hey!

Hi Guys! Guess what?

This happened….DSC_0077

BOOM! We got married 🙂

After five and a half years of being roommates, co-conspirators and partners – we decided to quit living in sin and make it official. The Biologist gave me the ring while we were at the airport on our way home for Christmas. We had talked about getting married, but when he pulled out the ring I was surprised and FREAKED out.

We didn’t want to have a wedding – but decided that we should do something. My birthday is January 8 and so we decided to celebrate then. We got papers from the courthouse early that week and our friend volunteered to get an “officiate” certification. After some debate about where to have our celebration we decided on the Larkspur. Initially I wasn’t really going to dress up but two days before the event, one of my co-workers suggested I borrow her wedding dress. It ended up fitting perfectly and was SO FUN to wear! Everything came together really easily and it took about a week to plan.

The whole thing was absolutely perfect. I don’t even know where to begin to verbalize how much it all meant to me. After everything that has happened, I feel so thankful. I was really hesitant to blog about this because it isn’t about a wedding. It’s about where we have come from, where we are going and how grateful I am to have a moment of happy. I’m so thankful for everyone who came, all the people who sent us good wishes and the overwhelming support. Most of all, I’m thankful for my Biologist…I love that guy!

P.S. – I’m NOT pregnant 🙂

  1. Yay! So happy for you. You have come along way since that cold day when I made you babysit for me. (Cause I didn’t trust anyone else… including my husband) Congrats, to you both.

  2. Thanks so much for sharing your pictures and your wedding with us! Life is an adventure, and your life really seems like a beautiful adventure in the northern wilderness! I am looking forward to meeting your biologist. Aunt Marilyn/Seattle
